Who should play Bruce Lee's role?

HONG KONG - Bruce Lee’s classic 1973 film, “Enter the Dragon,” will be remade by Warner Bros.

The remake, to be titled “Awaken the Dragon,” will be written and directed by Kurt Sutter, producer of “The Shield” TV series. It will be released by Warner Independent Pictures.

In an e-mail Thursday to The Associated Press, Warner Bros. publicist Laura Kim said the movie will tell the story of an FBI agent who investigates a Shaolin monk and underground kung fu fight clubs.

Who should play Bruce Lee%26#039;s role?

Reply:No one can fill Bruce Lee%26#039;s shoes. There%26#039;s no reason for a remake, and it will at best turn out to be a pale imitation of the original, dependent upon flashy fx and explosions to make up for its lack of quality.

Reply:Oh no, there goes the classic. I don%26#039;t understand the remake, but oh well. Bruce Lee is just so perfect in Enter The Dragon. I can%26#039;t really picture anyone that is suitable to play that role. I just hope they don%26#039;t mess it up with the remake.
Reply:Jet Li is only 5%26#039;4 bruce was 5%26#039;7 which is not a big deal, but jet will really have to work out to match bruce lees physique. It will be hard for anyone to obtain bruce lees incredibly ripped physique and also to duplicate his moves and incredible speed. Why do they insist on remaking classic movies and tv shows? they always turn out like crap!
Reply:I%26#039;d consider watching it only if Donnie Yen gets to star.

Jason Scott Lee. Bruce%26#039;s cousin I believe? Must be re-make year? Hope they don%26#039;t butcher it.
Reply:Very good question :)

I personally would like to see a new fresh face take on a role like that. Either a new up and coming actor who is proficient in the martial arts, or a great martial artists with acting talent who wants to break into that field.

As a former independent film actor, I know how hard it is for such people to break into the mainstream - and I think it%26#039;s really cool when you find unexpected talent in someone you%26#039;ve never really heard of before.

Of course, the studio may want to go for name recognition to attract a guaranteed audience - if so I would think Jet Li or the actor who starred in Angh Bak (I think it was called :)

Reply:I would think Brandon would of been a good person to play the role, but he is no one with us. So i would have to pick Jet Li, because he is a very good martial arts and i believe he can do Bruce Lee proud

Oh yea to the guy above me, Jason Scott Lee aint Bruce Lee%26#039;s cousin because i wrote a martial arts mag asking them that question and they told me they are not related
