Doesnt necessarily have to be one you dislike. For example, mine is this kunf fu parody called Kung-Pow. It was so cheezy and corney it was hilarious.
What is the all time most cheeziest movie you have ever seen?
The Horrors of Spider Island. Saw it on Mystery Science Theater.
Reply:PUMPKIN
Reply:Ok here it is. Killer Clowns from Outer Space. If you ever get a chance, watch it and then curse yourself for watching such a ridiculously horrible show. It was awesome when I was like 9 and I saw it recently and I wanted to punch myself in the face.
Reply:Any dumb and dumber movies.
Reply:I would have to say Soul Plane. That was the worst cheeziest movie ever.

...looking for a piece of music in a Jackie Chan movie!!!?
...as most old school martial arts / chop socky film fan well know, the background music of many of the classic martial arts films from the 70%26#039;s %26amp; early 80%26#039;s, is borrowed from other films (especially American films), or synthesizer instrumentals. I am looking for the title of a piece of music from Jackie Chan%26#039;s classic film, %26quot;Snake in the Eagle%26#039;s Shadow%26quot;. Remember the scene where the old master, whom Jackie%26#039;s character was kind to, left him a book with some martial arts teachings? Then he goes out to a stone court area, in the back of his house, and finds the foot steps for a kung fu routine, marked off in chalk? And as Jackie%26#039;s character attempts to practice the moves in the book and the chalk markings, the background music is a piece of synthesizer music written by the Euro-synthesizer rock group Tangerine Dream, which I had heard before.....but to this day, cannot remember the title. Rather than drastically buying the entire TD library, perhaps someone out there can help!!!!!!
...looking for a piece of music in a Jackie Chan movie!!!?
I think this might be helpful.
Youtube has quite a few Tangerine Dream videos. You can browse through them and maybe find the one you%26#039;re looking for.
I remember that film (saw it long ago though), but I was convinced Space did the main theme. I included a link to that video too just in case.
By the way, you%26#039;re one of my new favorite people on Y!A because you were so excited about Monster Squad being availble on DVD in October. My city does midnight showing of older non mainstream/cult films and the showing for Monster Squad was the only sell-out ever.

Why america movie rating system often gave asia film rated R instead of PG 13?
Film like kung fu hustle, shaolin soccer, hero all got rated R, i don%26#039;t think it derserve it, while violent and graphic film like LOTR and Perfect Storm still only get PG 13, what%26#039;s your opinion.
Why america movie rating system often gave asia film rated R instead of PG 13?
The ratings board is notoriously screwy. They often rate movies in ways that are not consistent and don%26#039;t make sense.

What Chinese movie is this???
It%26#039;s about:
A guy and a girl hang around and stuff.Well, they needed money and the guy knows kung fu.They heard that there was this illegal street fight thing and the winner get $3000 (in chinese money) per match. The girl convinced the guy to join because she wants to use the money for herself. The guy keeps on winning and winning. Well, long story short, there%26#039;s this hobo that is a kung fu master and he trains the guy to win in the next BIG match. He does. In the end, the bosses who places bets, tell the guy that he has to lose the next match or they%26#039;ll kill the girl. He loses on purpose and the girl is spared(she betrayed guy was on their side anyway). The guy was uneducated- all he could do well was fight. He ended up in the hospital and the girl killed herself. The guy thought that the bosses who ran the illegal fights killed her. He got hella mad and killed all of them (but it wasn%26#039;t them. She committed suicide) And then he was going to kill 1 more when a cop shot him in the head.

Martial artist who punches metal to harden fists?
A while back I saw on TV a Kung Fu master who punches against hard steel to toughen up his knuckles. When he first started out, he used to just tap his knuckles very LIGHTLY, a thousand times a day. Then, gradually over the years, he started hitting just a little harder, until now his knuckles are conditioned so that he can pretty much bang them against steel and now it will not hurt. He also has to be careful when punching someone so it will not kill them.
I%26#039;ve also heard someone say that he was hired to help take on gang member and arrest them. (Not sure how true this is, I only heard about it from someone).
Note: The guy I am talking of was on a talk show once, he DID NOT come from the movie %26quot;Silk And Iron%26quot; (think that is the name of it).
If anyone knows his name or has any info. about him, please share. Thanks. :)

His name is actually Qingfu Pan, he is also known as Grandmaster Pan. He does play the role of himself in the movie %26quot;Iron and Silk%26quot;. In the documentary you are speaking of, they mention how he single handedly defeated 23 members of the infamous Triad Gang. I remember watching this documentary years ago.

Does the US have a monopoly on The media industries?
It seems the US sends so much media overseas, but hardly receives any at all. for example. You can look at European ratings here:
http://www.allofmp3.com/ratings/charts.s...
Most of the Arists on that page are american. AND most of the ones who arent have American Labels.
also.. go here Http://www.amazon.de
Search for an american movie. Ill bet youll find a german version of it. When was the last time you saw a English Dubbed German film?
Now obviously we do get some stuff from the overseas. We get plenty of anime and kung fu flicks from japan, the occasional Comedy or documentary from england, and of course video games, but we send out soooo much more.
Does the US have a monopoly on The media industries?
America does not have a monopoly of all media. India and Russia produce as many or more films than the US. However, they do produce the majority of English language film %26amp; TV. (Yes, a lot is produced IN Australia, Canada and Britain, but they are produced BY americans.
The reasons for this are mostly economic. America bought most of the distribution companies throughout the world and pushed their own product. So the industry withered, particularly in Britain and Australia. The situation is better now because of the investment of governments in the industry.
In TV, the US program makers manage to get most of their costs back from domestic sales. This means they are able to sell product overseas for a fraction of the cost. In Australia, for example, overseas sales will not make up a large proportion of the income (except for the soaps like Neighbours and Home and Away. A studio will be able to buy very slick programs from the US for less than 10% of the cost of making their own (even though the home made product usually rates better).
The US also applies government pressure on other countries to benefit the studios. Again in Aust, they tried to get quotas for home made product dropped in the %26#039;free trade%26#039; agreement because it was protection, even though the americans subsidise and dump their product here. They also got Aust to change their copyright laws to advantage Disney.
Reply:Media and entertainment is one of the few things we export more than import. But remember, a lot of %26quot;US%26quot; movies are made oversees. For example, most of the original star wars movies were shot in oversees locations or in Elstry studios in England.
Also, the US tends to do remakes of foreign films and TV shows (i.e. The Office). The originals we do get are the best of the best (Amelie, Spirited Away, etc).
Reply:China probably produces more American-made movies than American%26#039;s do.
Just like Iran and North Korea are leading producers of $20 bills....

Who should play Bruce Lee's role?
HONG KONG - Bruce Lee’s classic 1973 film, “Enter the Dragon,” will be remade by Warner Bros.
The remake, to be titled “Awaken the Dragon,” will be written and directed by Kurt Sutter, producer of “The Shield” TV series. It will be released by Warner Independent Pictures.
In an e-mail Thursday to The Associated Press, Warner Bros. publicist Laura Kim said the movie will tell the story of an FBI agent who investigates a Shaolin monk and underground kung fu fight clubs.

I personally would like to see a new fresh face take on a role like that. Either a new up and coming actor who is proficient in the martial arts, or a great martial artists with acting talent who wants to break into that field.
As a former independent film actor, I know how hard it is for such people to break into the mainstream - and I think it%26#039;s really cool when you find unexpected talent in someone you%26#039;ve never really heard of before.
Of course, the studio may want to go for name recognition to attract a guaranteed audience - if so I would think Jet Li or the actor who starred in Angh Bak (I think it was called :)

Reply:I would think Brandon would of been a good person to play the role, but he is no one with us. So i would have to pick Jet Li, because he is a very good martial arts and i believe he can do Bruce Lee proud
Oh yea to the guy above me, Jason Scott Lee aint Bruce Lee%26#039;s cousin because i wrote a martial arts mag asking them that question and they told me they are not related
